The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ernest Duteau can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Cousin

Dear Kathy and family, I am truly sorry for your loss and heartbroken. I didnt get to know Ernie until my adult years but what a amazing man. He was a very caring gentleman to all. Never selfish, always helping anyone in need. He brought laughter where ever he was or whatever the situation was. He taught me more about life that I truly will remember. I didnt think about him as I cousin, but more like a big brother. What he did for my parents and family goes above and beyond what was expected. Skip and I have enjoyed being a part of his and Kathys life. He will never be forgotten. Kathy we will always be here for you. The Broken Chain We didnt know that morning God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide. Though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again Thank you for all the beautiful memories Ernie.
