Cecil Leroy Norman, 83, of Olathe, KS passed away January 12, 2018. Memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S Center, Gardner, KS 66030 913-856-7111. Cecil was born September 2, 1934 in Newton, IA to Marshall Thomas and Mona Lucille (Hoyt) Norman. He grew up in Powersville, MO and graduated from Unionville High School in 1953. After high school, Cecil moved to Kansas City, MO and then in 1953 he moved to Leawood, where he worked for Saddle & Sirloin Club of Kansas City for 42 years, 32 of those years he was the manager. He married Marjorie Ann Fetters on August 1, 1954 in Unionville, MO. In 1977, they moved to Olathe. Cecil loved to ride and take care of horses. He also enjoyed water skiing, boating, Chiefs football and Royals baseball. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Powersville, MO. He will be missed by family and friends.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Keith Allen Norman and siblings: Richard Dean Norman, Harry Lee Norman and Elizabeth Mae Earlenbaugh. He is survived by his wife of the home; son, Robert Lee and JoAnne Norman of Olathe, KS; daughter, Cheryl Ann and Michael Sedars of De Soto, KS; six grandchildren: Robert Lee Norman, Jessica LeeAnne Burge, Crystal Ann Buttron, Christopher Scott Sedars, Becky Lee Snyder and Kate Nicole McCauley and seven great-grandchildren.
