Condolence: So sad to learn today of Dennis’ passing. He was my professor first at New York Medical College, then my boss at Metropolitan Jewish Health System, and most importantly my mentor and friend. Dennis was one of the smartest, most productive, and certainly funniest people I have ever known. I will miss his distinctive laugh, his boundless energy and the way he could captivate an audience with his rich storytelling. Thank you Dennis for everything you taught me and so many others. My thoughts and prayers are with Liliane and his siblings.

Condolence: Today I reived the announcement from the International Journal of Integrated Care that Dennis passed away. My most sincere condolences and I wish you strength with your loss. I have known Dennis for a short time and remember him as a warm and enthusiastic man. I remember his laughter and how proud he was to understand and talk Dutch ( a little ). I was PhD-researcher when I met him in the Netherlands (with professor Guus Schrijvers ) and he was one of the members of my Thesis-committee. I was honoured that Dennis also was part of the Corona when I was defending my thesis at Utrecht University in May 2002. He joint dinner with Guus, my friends and family afterwards. I will cherish this moments.

Condolence: I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dennis. He was such a joy to work with, full of knowledge about our pet interest on integrated care, full of humour and warmth. I met Dennis for the first time in Almere, Netherlands, in 2000 where we set up the International Journal of Integrated Care together. We enjoyed many conferences and times together through the subsequent Foundation of which he was a founding Board member.

Condolence: Even though I only knew Dennis for a short time, his death was a shock. So unexpected and gone so soon. From what I have learned, he was a caring individual who was always advocating for the care of our seniors and sick. May God hold him in a special place in heaven.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. It was quite disconcerting to hear of the sudden loss of Dennis. He was such a focused and responsible person and he will be missed, but not forgotten. One of the admirable qualities, beyond his intellect and personable nature, from my perspective, was his commitment to his wife. He shared a number of stories relative to their union and it was always inspiring. May God give you the comfort and peace that you seek and may the soul of your loved one rest in peace.
