Maxine became part of our family when she married William Walker. He was nearly a brother, rather than a 2nd cousin, and Maxine became my East Coast sister-in-law. Sadly the distance that separates Oregon from Pennsylvania is great and our visits few. In the time we did have together I enjoyed Maxine's gentle wit and her welcoming manner. Her devotion to her husband, daughters and grandchildren was complete. I will very much visiting with her on my trips east.
