The many Travels with Anne Schierl

Anne truly added the light, energy and excitement to every adventure I had the good fortune to take with her. Some of my fondest include our Australia cruise with Bill Schierl and after a few too many beverages, a number of friends took our little Bucky stickers and in order to become part of the Bucky in the Belly Button member, you had to show your belly button and have a sticker placed.  While some fellow crazy friends were becoming members, Annie disappeared.  Back she came flying in and said it was her turn. Up came the skirt and on went the sticker.  I asked her where she went - and she said "To get better looking underwear of course!"  I was always on the look out for a new dance partner for her.  Boy she loved to dance.  My other interesting travel memory with Annie was when I was traveling to South Africa as a single.  I thought, why not ask Anne if she'd like to join me. So I called her and she said she had already been, but "what the heck, I'll go again wth you!".  We had an absolute blast.  I remember checking in to our beautiful hotel and the hotel staff showed us this bottle of spray and in his broken english, we figured it was to spray any creepy crawlers we may find.  Well, off we went sightseeing and we came back to our room - Anne was freshening up and I saw something black on the rug next to my side of the bed.  I'm staring at it and realized it was a scorpion. I yelled for Anne and she came running with the spray can and we took care of business, together!  Almost 30 years of travel memories with my great friend, Annie.  There will never be another person like her.  How very proud she was of her family - every one of them.  Rest in peace Annie - I am so thankful for your support all these years, especially during this past year.  So happy you are back with Butch. Until we meet again.
