The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gordon Petch can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Ross Kleberg

Gord was a neighbour on Charles Rd. for several years and a friend for many more. We were seasonal dwellers, but Gord & Sandy lived in their home year-round. Gord, therefore took on many roles in helping us with all kinds of tasks pertaining to our property. Things got fixed, sorted, bought and sold - plants got watered. If Gord couldn't help with something, he always knew who to call and many times would take that on himself. We will be forever grateful to Gord and Sandy for the care they gave my mother when she was living on her own at the cottage - without them, she would not have been able to stay there. It was so reassuring to know they were right next door. Even when Gord and Sandy left Charles Rd., Gord continued to lend a helping hand by making sure we could all get in our driveways during the winter. He and Sandy were honorary members of Charles Rd by continuing to attending the annual Canada Day party every year. I promise that this July 1, Gord, I will make sure that we all raise a glass to you!!!
