Mr. Hamilton was my favorite Teacher. What made him special was his ability to get students interested in learning. He interacted with each of us, at our level. He was good to all of us, unless you tried to disrupt his class, then look out! My Prayers go out to his family and friends.
I had Mr. Hamilton for both 6th and 7th grade. (3rd district) He was a really cool teacher. So sorry to hear that he’s gone. My condolences to his family and friends. Go rest high on that mountain...
I will never forget you mr Hamilton and the paddles you gave me and i know you loved the brown boys lol i just talked to you on facebook and you said you would never forget the brown boys!
I taught with George at 3rd District School in Covington. Most Friday’s I would fix popcorn for the kids. The odor would just barely get out in the halls, & my classroom door would open enough for his hand to reach through to get a handful of popcorn. The kids would always sit & watch the door for that hand to come through. Another time we had a dance after school for the kids. I had been in the gym & walked back to the teacher’s lounge. I made the comment that the kids were sure cutting a rusty out there. George wanted to know what that meant. I told him that it meant they were have a good time. On Monday, when we came back to school, George told me that he sure cut a rusty over the weekend. He was a city boy & I was raised in the county. He was a fun person to be around.
