I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Marilyn, i am a friend of Connie gibson and have learned so much about Marilyn through her. After reading Marilyns obituary I can see why Connie loved her so much. Connie would always tell me stories about Marilyn when we got together, we looked at old photos of her and Harold, and she told me the POW story many times. I was just getting ready to accompany Connie to primrose to see Marilyn in her last days because i really wanted to meet her in person, but in the last few weeks she was getting worse fast and it just wasnt a possibility, she needed connie and her immediate family. I am very saddened to know she is gone, her life seemed amazing, she seemed like a forward thinking woman for the times she was brought up in, having obrained college level degrees and being a working mother. She also seemed a very caring and giving woman with her charity work for the church and her musical work with them as well. I know the family is missing her terribly today and for weeks and months to come, the pain will subside, but it never goes away, your wonderful memories will sustain you and you will only remember the good times and the joy she brought to your lives. Again, I feel honored to know her, if only through stories. Good-bye sweet Marilyn, rest in peace ...
