The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Flynn can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Coming After Me...With A Machete...LOL

I had recently moved in next door to Michael Flynn and his family when his mother had left for several days and I was watering the flowers for her while she was gone.  It was dark outside and I had a flashlight to see how far the flowers went down on the side of her house when Michael came out with a machete. He was protecting the family home and came flying out the door to "get me"! I told him that I wasn't a bad guy I was just watering the flowers and he was cool with that.  He went back in the house and when I was done I went back in the house but I was a little scared at first since I had never met him personally!  A few days later I saw him and he apologized for scaring me and from then on out when we saw each other we would speak in general.  I needed help one day with my business and he heard me telling his mother about it and volunteered to help me. I didn't have much money but all he wanted was food and cigarettes.  I got the chance to learn a little bit about him that day and I felt a whole lot more comfortable.  I did use him from time to time but then it got a little more often until it was almost daily for a while.  He was always such a great help when he worked by really working and not slacking.  I was really pleased that I had found someone that would really help me and not take advantage of me or my situation.  I saw Michael everyday from then on out.  He was a really good kid.  He was always happy and always trying to do something good for someone.  I am so glad that I got the opportunity to meet him and get to know him.  No matter what the day had in store or what happened during the day he would always lighten the mood of anyone he was around.  I am so sorry to everyone that knew him that he was taken away so young.  I am going to miss him dearly and will never forget all the smiles that he put on my face...

R.I.P. Michael Flynn...We will be in the fields hopping and skipping again one day!!!
