Obituary for Patsy "Pat" A. Somma
Patsy “Pat” A. Somma, Jr., 87, of Ortley Beach, Toms River Twp., NJ, formerly of Mountainside, NJ, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, Pat and his late wife, Concetta, raised their family in Mountainside, NJ and spent every summer in Ortley Beach before retiring to Ortley in 1996.
Pat was owner of Salon Salon in Elizabeth, NJ for 40 years.
He was a US Army Korean War Veteran.
Pat loved living on the bay and enjoyed many activities, especially boating and fishing as well as walks on the beach and shell collecting.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Concetta, in 2011.
Pat is survived by his two daughters, Jodi Kocher of Brick, NJ and Kerri Somma of Parkland, FL and his grandson Dale Kocher.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 4, 2019 from 10:00am until the funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. Burial to follow the service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
