Grandpa was, and still is, one of the biggest role models in my life. Work hard, play hard, and love the hardest. Its hard to pick my favorite memory with Grandpa, there are too many, so I will share one of his favorite memories with me. While we were living in Italy Grandpa had to ride his bicycle down to a special store every morning to get the USA Today to keep up with the news in the United States. Every single day he would load me up on the toddler seat attachment and take me with him. It was our special morning ride. Everytime I see a bicycle, I smile a little on the outside, and grieve a little on the inside. I know he wouldnt want us to be sad, but how can we not help but miss such a great man? Rest in peace Grandpa, sit tibi terra levis. We love you big!

I loved this man. He was my mentor, adviser, counselor and friend. He made me laugh at myself in spite of myself. Coach taught me to respect others ALWAYS. He is missed deeply - the void great. My heart aches in his absence. He touched the lives of many - so many. I am blessed to call him "Daddy"
