Remembering Penny first when I worked on Antique Show, then later amid the flurry of the choir getting ready every Sunday for services. Much later, was pleased to be part of her chapter in PEO, a philanthropy for women's education. Each diverse group saw Penny's energy and leadership, and caring connect.

I was very sad to hear about my cousin Penny. My brother, sisters and I remember the times she would babysit us and made it a fun night. She had a beautiful voice and took an interest in what we were doing. I am going to miss her.

"Penny" Soby was my English teacher at Grosse Pointe North. I think I may have been the only student in her class who actually finished Moby Dick. I have long remembered her warm support, intelligence, and humor.
