My twin brother, Stephen Allen Corbin, was born about 30 minutes behind me - around 6:00 am on a Saturday - in Munich, Germany. Our father, Channing Allen Corbin (6-28-25 to 5-22-87) of Cheyenne, WY was a sargent in the United States Army. Our mother, Frances Marguerite Roberts Corbin (5-24-25 to 1-23-06) also of Cheyenne, WY travelled to Munich with our sister, Sharon Kay Corbin Slaubaugh who currently resides in Queen Creek, AZ.

Being in a military family meant that we travelled often ... Steve and I entered the 1st grade in 1959 while our father was stationed at Fort Churchill, Manitoba, Canada ... he was interested in making friends with the Eskimos, although they were not allowed to attend our school.

We next moved to Yuma, AZ where our father retired from the United Sates Army in 1964. Steve began playing little league baseball there, and all 3 of us kids enjoyed swimming as often as we could. Our parents divorced in 1966 and our mother moved her 3 kids to Cheyenne, WY.

Steve and I were in the 8th grade when we moved to Cheyenne, WY and entered McCormick Junior High School. Steve continued his athletic endeavors as we entered Cheyenne Central High School in 1969. Steve excelled in all sports - most noteably as a heavy weight in boxing at Cheyenne Central. We graduated in 1972.

Soon after graduation, Steve married Mickey Porter of Cheyenne, WY and their first child, Stephanie, was born November 16, 1972. Their second child, Casey, was born January 4, 1975.

Steve worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for close to 20 years - which took him from Cheyenne to Denver and back.  He also worked for Bresnan Cable in Cheyenne, WY.
