My son Noah and I offer our deepest sympathy to the family of Frank J Lombardi. It was a privilege to have known him; a man of honor, decency and values. A man who loved his family, his sporting activities, his life and those important to him. He fought hard to live and, as he would say, he gave it "the college try". I teased him sometimes - calling him "P E" (Professor Emeritus)- for he had that designation. Former students would recognize him when we were out and about and often thank him for the help he had given them. He was proud to have served his country for 4 years as an enlisted man and Medic in the Navy. He told me stories about his time at the Naval Station in Key West, Florida and also his tour of duty in the Mediterranean. Frank was a wonderful human being; an excellent listener, sensitive and charming. He was loved and returned that love. He will be greatly missed. Forever in my heart - Pauline and Noah Rand.
