Don Clark

I was very sorry to hear the news. George was a lively chap indeed. It was a pleasure to get his letters and chat to him on the phone, from far Flin Flon to Canberra. I'll never forget what he said to me, after the house fire - "Well, worse things happen at Sea"! And soon enough, he was back in his own home again for a time, before facing the final journey. It was a privilege to have known him, and to be able to retell some of his story of RAF service in Greece and Palestine with 211 Squadron, 70 years ago.
