I am so sad that such a sweet, inspirational woman was taken away way too soon. I met Joanne 50 years ago at Robert Morris and we had a couple rocky roads together but also such fond memories. I was lucky to reconnect with her after all these years and we laughed about the crazy things we did to each other back at school. I feel so lucky to have had the last few months talking to her almost daily. It's funny how after 50 years you can pick up where you left off as though not a day passed. I will miss her sweet voice and contagious laugh. She was so accepting of her fate and felt she had lived a wonderful life and was looking forward to her next journey. I hope her new journey is all she hoped and I hope that Rich and her family will always feel her love surround you. She loved you all so much and wants you all to be happy. I am sorry I cannot be there for the service but Joanne will always have a special place in my heart.
