Arlie was one of the most passionate and beautiful people I've ever been blessed to know. A love of history brought us together and our friendship grew into so much more. I lost track of Arlie, and was hoping to see him when I discovered he had passed on Christmas Day. The state of Oregon, Polk County, and the world has lost someone very special. My heart goes out to your loved ones. I love you so much. Thank you for making my life something more than it would have been without you.
