I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dennis. He was such a joy to work with, full of knowledge about our pet interest on integrated care, full of humour and warmth. I met Dennis for the first time in Almere, Netherlands, in 2000 where we set up the International Journal of Integrated Care together. We enjoyed many conferences and times together through the subsequent Foundation of which he was a founding Board member.
