Ive known Ellen for 35 years. We met at a retreat in Berkeley, California in the seventies, She was such a caring ,delightful person then , and continued to be that person through all the ups and downs of her life. We talked on the phone often and she came to Arizona for a visit twice. I loved her capacity to be a good friend to me AND to everyone she cared a;bout. She was extraordinarily loving and that made her a good priest as well as friend. Her deep caring extended to animals expecially and all of nature. She also stayed with her Mother through the last difficult years of her life, cherishing her Mother every step of the way.
