I met Gertrud in the hospital, when we were both having surgery. She noticed me reading a Focus on the family tract, and then leaving it for others to read. She was immediately drawn to me, because of our mutual love for Jesus Christ. We exchanged addresses,and I added her to my Christmas newsletter mailing list. Whenever she got one of my letters, she would phone me. Only once did I visit her, and she made my day wonderful, cooking a meal fit for a queen and telling me all about her life. Her Life in Christ shone so brightly. She was a bright, articulate lady. I am so glad, that I could meet her. I am so happy for her to be reunited with her husband, and be in the arms of her beloved saviour Jesus Christ. My heartfelt condolensces to her children and grandchildren.
