My deepest sympathy to Geoffrey, Duncan and Gregory with families. Gertrud's sudden death really shocked me since we had just talked on the phone. Our close friendship since we went to school had ended with "Auf Wiedersehn" on the phone at Christmas. It was wonderful for Gertrud to have been with you all on Christmas.
My thoughts and memories of your mother are with you in Toronto.
