I forever will be grateful to Dr. Vanacour for his enthusiasm and support for both my public service career as well as my scholastic endeavors. I first met Marty when working at the City of Glendale. He always was kind, ethical, supportive and reassuring. The City was fabulous when he was at the helm. When he retired, I was honored to have him as mentor and professor as I pursued my MPA and PhD at the ASU School of Public Affairs. I am incredibly saddened to hear of his passing and am comforted in the memories of him. Love, prayers and blessings to his family.
