The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dr. Martin Vanacour can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Marty was an incredible person and it was truly an honor to know him and a privilege to work for him. He was one of those rare individuals that always brought out the best in others through his caring, kindness, mentoring, encouragement and sage advice. He has done so much for so many and he will never be forgotten.

I am very sad to learn the news of the passing of Marty. Not only did I have the chance to work with him at Glendale, but he also was my professor at ASU for several classes. He was a wonderfully kind mentor and teacher and gave his best to everything he did.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Marty was an amazing person. I was very fortunate to work for him and to learn from him. He was a consummate professional, always ethical and he cared about people. Those of us who had the opportunity to work with him know what a rare breed he was and the world is a better place because of Marty. After he retired, I kept in contact with Marty and was blessed to call him a friend. Again, I am so very sorry.
